A Tribute Children's Book Story for Isabella
Hearts For Isabella is partnering with Charlie Bubbles Books for publication of a very special children’s book made in tribute and memory of our precious Isabella :
"Charlie Bubbles! Brave Heart” - A book about love & courage.
This heartwarming book will be the 7th in the Charlie Bubbles Book Series. The efforts and release of this story was a dream to collaborate with and create a tribute children's story in Isabella's memory whilst finding ways donate books to children in need around the United States and of those receiving care at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Rochester.
“Our new Charlie Bubbles storybook A tribute for Isabella. Born with half a heart, she showed us all what love and courage is all about!” - Paul Carofotes, Author of Charlie Bubbles Book Series
We extend our deepest gratitude to Paul for his dedication in crafting this inspirational story within the Charlie Bubbles series. He truly captured our vision of incorporating Isabella's spirit into a children's story that inspires love, courage, and bravery in those who need it most.

Hearts For Isabella is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization created in memory of Isabella Annelise Dombrowski that helps raise awareness to Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) with combined hopes and support to the children and those living with CHD in our local communities.
1 in every 100 babies or every 15 minutes a child is born with CHD. It is the most common yet most drastically underfunded birth defect in our areas. Isabella was born with a more complex and rare CHD, a 1 in 10,000 statistic, a diagnosis and condition called Tricuspid Atresia - Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome (HRHS). Isabella was only born with half a heart and lost her life after only 3 months old, living 97 days after losing her battle to CHD following complications of open heart surgery. Although Isabella was born with half a heart, she put up twice the fight. She was a warrior, thrived, and defied many odds in the short 3 months of her life
Through love & loss, we share Isabella’s powerfully beautiful & equally tragic story to help remember her memory and also raise awareness to CHD. By so, are also dedicated to support the many children, their parents, those living with CHD in their adulthood, and the many our communities in such special ways.

Each year Hearts For Isabella hosts a family-friendly event packed with many fun activities that brings the community together to raises awareness to Congenital Heart Disease and raise funds to support children and those in our areas affected by CHD. This event is near and dear to our hearts in memory of Isabella and commences annually only because of our generous community from volunteers, business donation/corporate sponsor partners, and to the many that help make this annual event possible in many other ways.
We’d like to thank our community again and again for the overwhelming supporting these special events each year. The unwavering generosity we receive has made huge direct impacts to children and those in our local communities who need it most.

Annual Snow Sculptures
❆❆❆❆❆
Golisano Children's Hospital
During National Heart Month Annual #CHDAwareness Week, Hearts for Isabella teams up annually with Eric Jones [Sculpting For Smiles] to create special snow sculptures for all the children of Golisano Children's Hospital of Rochester to bring smiles and watch from the comfort of their rooms for Congenital Heart Disease Awareness week.
As Isabella's parents, we're so proud and honored to work with such talented and amazing people to put together such an event for these children to fill their hearts with joy during these tough times.
Eric Jones quote ”What an honor to be able to create this snow sculpture for Hearts for Isabella. With dozens of kids, families and nurses watching from the hospital windows, it’s helps remind me of how blessed I am. My daughter is a CHD survivor. I hope my artwork brings a smile to the faces of these tiny warriors. Keep fighting! “ Thank you, Eric!
Special thanks to Shamrock Paving of Rochester that helps deliver snow collected from Scottsville Ice Rink Arena of Rochester and to our volunteers that dresses up in costumes - helping to create lots of smiles!

Grinch
"Steals" Christmas
for children receiving care at Golisano Children's Hospital
Held December 15th 2024
Raymour & Flanigan
Hearts for Isabella, Inc partners annually each holiday season with Raymour and Flanigan Olean to help bring Christmas presents to children currently receiving care at Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester NY.
In the classic Dr. Seuss story, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” the titular character’s heart grows larger when he comes to understand the true meaning of the season.
The big-hearted Grinch turned out recently for its third annual toy drive for the holiday season for photo opportunities to bring new, unopened toys to donate in exchange for a free photo shoot with the (formerly) Mean One.
Our hearts are full seeing all the smiling faces and generous toys gathered for such a good cause.

Be You Ball Event Dec 23'
We teamed up with Raymour & Flanigan, Eric Jones, Badger & Butterfly, DJ Jimmy, and the Holiday Inn Express to host a one-of-a-kind event in our local area to raise awareness to #CHD and Hearts For Isabella in efforts to help donate toys to Golisano Children's Hospital.
Children dressed up as their favorite super heroes and princesses to dance and rock out alongside costume characters while they get their caricature, face painted, and decorated some cookies.

Dreams from the
Heart Camp
“Camp is where scars are forgotten,
and memories are made.”

Dreams from the Heart Camp provides a structured and supervised recreational outlet for children with complex heart disease. Many of these children are unable to attend other camps due to the complexity of their physical and medical needs. Dreams from the Heart Camp provides an environment that allows these children to build self-confidence. The camp also provides an unencumbered forum for these children to ask questions of the medical team that might otherwise not surface in an intimidating medical office.
